Overview

Choosing your Terms

The terms of your agreement determine what duties and responsibilities fall on which party.

1Choose the type

Service

An action that you perform. For example, mowing the other party's lawn.

Payment

The transfer of a currency (USD) to the other party. For example, giving $100 to the other party.

Object

A personal property item. For example, giving your ancient bedouin bow staff to the other party.

Custom

If the term you're looking to make doesn't fit in any of the categories above, or you just prefer to write your own term from scratch, use custom terms.

2Specify the Date Optional

If the term has a specific due date, you can specify it here.

Due Other

If your date/time doesn't fit within the standard form options, you can use the 'Due Other' option to specify whatever type of condition you want.

3 Additional Specifications Optional

If you have any other information or details regarding this term, you may include those in the additional specifications field.

Tip: When crafting terms, clearly define what your intent is. Imagine what a third party observer would think if she were reading the agreement. A reasonable objective persons perspective is how it will be interpreted if a dispute arises.
